On one of my most recent "searches" ; I found this great article and thought I better share it with you all.

Don’t forget to check out the info here on prescribed medication: panic attacks reaction.

If you talked to your doctor about anxiety then you already know about medication, panic attacks and how the two are seemingly linked. Medication is pretty much the standard treatment for anxiety and it really is a shame. Not only doesn’t medication cure panic and anxiety it can make matters worse. The reasons for this are simply because the cause of anxiety has nothing to do with the symptoms of it. I’m not even a fan of herbs and supplements as, again, the issue isn’t with our body or brain as so much as the problem is in our thoughts and processing.

Your doctor likes to prescribe medication, panic attacks aren’t pathological though, in the same manner we treat diseases with medications. Panic attacks result in physical symptoms and drugs can alter these. The root is in your head and has to do with your fear of panic attacks and there in lies a cure. I doubt you believe me and you might even wish medication was the answer because there are few things easier than taking a pill. What is easier is also more effective and that is simply using your brain, by way of cognition to stop the cycle of panic.

Medication, panic attacks and a cure don’t go together. There are side effects, and the one that always amazes me is that of increased anxiety. You might get depressed, suicidal, and violent or have physical reactions to the drugs. All these things are unnecessary and unhelpful, while cognitive programs are useful but less easy to advertise as a quick fix and this is why they are gaining slow popularity. Panic Away is one I recommend and I also recommend you hinder the amount of information you read on anxiety as it literally propagates attacks in some people.
